Your membership helps TBUG work to improve infrastructure, safety and participation for cyclists regardless of how, when or where you ride your bike.
Be it recreation, for commuter or serious road riders. Our organisation aims to build a better cycling community in the Tamar valley and across North Tasmania.
Besides running social rides TBUG works with local and state governments to advocate for improvements for all cyclists. Your membership helps us to do this by giving us funds for our projects and helping us to lobby governments by showing that there is a demand for change.

Membership options:
Basic Single Membership
Price: $20 per year
Your TBUG Basic Membership supports TBUG finanically to continue our advocacy and provides you with our news emails and other member benefits. However it does not provide ride insurance. For that we recommend looking at the Bicycle Network option below.
You can still ride with us without insurance but will need to sign a disclaimer to absolve TBUG of any liability in the unlikely event of an accident.
Family Membership
Price $44 (for 2+ people at the same address)

Membership with Bicycle Network Ride Insurance (Recommended)
For comprehensive 24/7 ride insurance coverage, you can join TBUG through Bicycle Network. This option includes:
- Full TBUG membership.
- Coverage for any cycling-related incidents, whether you’re riding with TBUG or on your own.
Bicycle Network Membership Options:
- Various membership plans are available, including concession and family memberships.
- If you’re unsure, take advantage of their free three-month trial insurance for TBUG riders, which allows you to decide later.

What is Bicycle Network?
Bicycle Network is a not-for-profit organisation which advocates for cyclists and other active transport users across Australia and also have a local branch in Hobart which assists TBUG and other local groups across Tasmania in their own advocacy.
By joining TBUG and Bicycle Network at the same time you can maximise your impact and also gain access to various BN membership benefits including insurance.
